I feel like Instagram is all about #datsmoothielife… and I’m the first to admit that I live it. Smoothies are a huge part of my nutrition plan (I say plan loosely because I eat whatever I want). They’re easy to make, a great way to pack a ton of nutrition into your day and they taste good.

I guess I shouldn’t say they all taste good… I’ve had some terrible smoothies. But this recipe is delicious and is one of my favorites!

There are many flashy smoothie recipes out there. But, I like to keep things simple. I created the perfect smoothie base that you can customize to what you’re feeling that day. You can change up the main fruit depending what’s on what’s in your fridge. You can also add in your favorite superfoods without impacting the taste.

The Ultimate Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen mango (you could use blueberries, strawberries or other frozen fruit here, too)
  • 1 cup nut milk (choose whichever one you prefer. I love almond milk!)
  • 1 banana (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 ripe avocado

Method

It’s easy! Slice your avocado and throw into your blender. Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth and delicious!
