I want you to know that you are deserving of love. And I don’t just mean the love you’re your family, partners and friends. You are deserving of love from yourself. You deserve to look in the mirror, stare yourself straight in the eyes and proclaim your love to yourself and mean it. You are deserving of your own love.

I want you to know that you can accept your body now. That doesn’t mean when you’ve lost weight, put your makeup on or altered your appearance in any way at all. Accept yourself exactly the way you are, right here and right now. We’re all plagued with that inexplicable desire to look different than we already do. But, know that you are a gift and so is the body you are blessed to have. The fact that another woman might be beautiful doesn’t mean that you aren’t. By all means, look at those you see in the media and celebrate their beauty, but also celebrate your own. You can accept your body now.

I want you to know that you are not alone. Whenever you’re feeling lonely, scared, anxious or anything in between, know that there’s someone out there who understands you and will support you. Don’t be scared to reach out. Allow yourself to be vulnerable in front of others. Lower your walls. Find a tribe who can support you. You are not alone.

I want you to know that you are stronger than you think. Sure, each and every day can seem like a battle at times. But you’re here, and that’s incredible. Recognize your strengths, each and every one of them. Strength comes in many different forms, from getting out of bed when you don’t want to, choosing love after heartbreak and simply showing up in life. You are strong.

I want you to know that you are enough. You are enough simply because you were born. You do not need to earn the right to be enough. You do not need to be the perfect mom, the perfect wife, the perfect employee, own the nicest house or be anything other than being yourself to be enough. You are enough.

I want you to know that your body loves you. It’s not trying to punish you with a bit of extra weight around your hips, or uncontrollable acne or a nose you find unattractive. Your body is doing absolutely everything it can each and every day to keep you alive. Cherish it. Appreciate it. Take care of it. Your body loves you.

I want you to know that you can choose happiness right now. Happiness is not a jean size, a new car, a fancy job or a perfect life. Happiness is a choice that you can make no matter where you are in your journey. Happiness is focusing on those things you have to be grateful for each and every day. Happiness is a mindset and one you have the power to choose. You can choose happiness right now.

I want you to know that above all else, your truest Self only wants you to has ever wanted is for you to become your very own best friend. Show your body and mind the love it deserves. Place your hand on your heart and proclaim your love for yourself. Accept every last bit of you- the good and the bad. Know that you are not flawed- you are a gift to this universe, and you deserve your own acceptance. Understand that you are never truly alone because, through thick and thin, you always have yourself. By all means, reach out to others but also be your own shoulder to cry on, no matter what happens. Be there for yourself.

You are strong.

So even when the going gets tough and life starts to get you down, remember, you’re already enough. You already are beautiful, unique and stronger than you know. Celebrate yourself, take care of that incredible body, do things you love, choose to be happy and most of all, be your best friend.
